What is NeighborsCare?

NeighborsCare TM is a new volunteer program designed to make our neighborhoods more friendly, caring and safe. We ALL could use good neighbors right?

How does it work?

Everyone has problems in life of one sort or another. Sometimes it feels like we are all alone and that nobody really cares.

It seems in so many places in the world today that everyone is just so busy and we have become isolated from each other because of it.

Most people in North America know about calling 911 in an emergency. But many of our problems and needs are not those types of emergencies – requiring an ambulance, fire fighters or police.

For example who do you call when…

Your wife is very ill and could use some help cleaning the house or cooking dinner

• You are bedridden and could use someone to talk to
• You need help fixing the house or the garden
• You just lost your job and need help finding another one
• You need a babysitter or pet sitter because you need to be away for a short while
• You're going on holidays and would like someone to watch over your house, plants or pets
• You are in desperate straits financially and have no idea what to do.
• You are having problems with your teenager and could use some help on how to deal with it
• You are having marriage problems and need someone to talk to about it confidentially
• You are being abused – emotionally, Physically or sexually and don't know how to deal with it
• You need someone to pray for you for a miracle

There are many other DIFFICULT SITUATIONS you may face from time to time.

Wouldn't it be great if you had someone close by who you trusted , who cared for you and was willing and able to help you ?

Welcome to NeighborsCare TM

Because that is EXACTLY what we do for our neighbors.

Joining in the NeighborsCare program is easy and painless. All you need to do is;

1. Listen to what your Rep has to say about the program – feel free to ask any questions.
2. Complete a brief “Data” form for the records of the Rep so they can get to know you and keep in touch with you.( optional )
3. Don't be too proud to ask for help or feel you are being a nuisance – for anything.
4. Although not required, if you can and are willing, please let your Rep know what things you would be willing to help with for your neighbors if asked.
5. Try your best to connect with all your neighbors – especially when a neighborhood event is planned such as a BBQ or pot luck dinner or party.

Things you can count on

Your personal information will only ever be used by your Rep. At NO TIME will your information be given to, sold to or in any way made available to anyone else without your permission.

1. Confidentiality is assured. Sometimes our needs are deeply personal and we would feel ashamed or embarrassed if anyone else knew about it – especially the neighbors. Your Rep. will guarantee your privacy and in cases where outside help is needed will locate a suitable person to help you with your problem.
2. Quick action when you need it. Your rep will make every effort to come to your help as fast as possible.
3. Genuine Care. Our Reps are appointed because they have expressed a deep care for their neighbors and want to help others where and when they can.
4. A better, safer and more caring neighborhood and city. We all benefit by caring and helping each other.
